WARREN COUNTY, Va. - Tareq and Michaele Salahi made a special appearance Friday, but not at some hot event with the President or Foreign Official. The publicity seeking couple was invited to stand before a Warren County judge and pay a $925.00 lawn care bill.

The lawn care company has been after the Salahis to pay this bill since 2008. Finally the owner of the company had it. He took them to court Friday and after three hours Tareq Salahi left without his watch.

Tareq and Michaele Salahi arrived early for this exclusive appearance, special guests for a 9am hearing at the Warren County District Courthouse.

Mike Dunbar the owner of A1A Home Improvement took the couple to court back in 2008 for not paying their lawn mowing bill. A judge ruled in Dunbar's favor but the Salahis never paid up.

Friday they were issued a warrant and forced to appear. The bill, after interest and legal fees was now over $2000.00

"I have been in the lawn business for 5 years and I have only had two people not pay me and they were one of them," says Dunbar.

After three hours, the Salahis emerged from court.

"Are you happy with the settlement today? Do you have any comment today?" shouted WTTG Fox 5 Reporter Claudia Coffey.

The court didn't take the shirt off his back but instead the watch off Tareq's wrist in order to settle the debt, It is a very expensive Patek Phillipe watch that can cost between $17,000. and a quarter of a million dollars.

After stepping out at the State Dinner uninvited, the spotlight seeking couple is now facing plenty of questions.

"The White House continues to stick by their statement that you were not invited. Is the White House lying? Do you owe them an apology?" asked WTTG Fox 5 Reporter Claudia Coffey.

The Salahis did not respond to our questions about the investigation into their polo cup, their charity foundation or even if Michaele was ever a Redskins cheerleader?

"The Redskins say you were never a cheerleader. Do you owe them an apology?" asked reporter Claudia Coffey.

There was no chauffeur driven limousine Friday. Instead the Salahis had to walk three blocks, where they then ducked into a local law office.

Meantime, in the parking lot they were getting a ticket.

A police officer with the town of Front Royal was writing the Salahis a $20.00 ticket for an expired inspection sticker.

And when the Salahis finally went to their car they were asked, "Are you going to pay this new ticket?" by a reporter.

Tareq quietly removed the ticket and the Salahi's wrapped up a day that likely won't be featured on their facebook page.

The attorney for both parties will still have to make sure the watch handed over is real, determine how to sell it and how to split the proceeds since the value of the watch is well over the amount of the debt.
