Other stars with felon parents

(MYFOX NATOINAL) - Tennis star Anna Kournikova, who was sent to Florida from Russia to hone her racket skills at age 10, has had her share of turmoil with her parents, Alla and Sergei Kournikova, in recent years.

According to Sports Illustrated , the athlete's parents sued her over a $5 million waterfront property in Miami in 2004, but settled their dispute in March 2005.

And this week, the 28-year-old's mother was officially charged with one felony count of neglect of a child by the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office.

According to the Palm Beach Daily News , Alla left her five-year-old son Allan at home alone while she ran errands last month. Allan takes after his older sister, having taken on three competitive sports, including golf, equestrian show jumping and tennis by age four, reports the newspaper.

Neighbors found Anna's half brother alone on the sidewalk crying, bleeding and soaking wet after he jumped out of a second-story window and then went in the pool because he said his feet hurt.

If convicted, TMZ reports that the 46-year-old mother of the famous tennis ace could face up to five years in prison.

Kournikova isn't the only celebrity who has had to deal with a parent in trouble with the law.

According to Hollywood.com , actress Lindsay Lohan's father Michael Lohan faced felony charges for a DUI in New York City in February 2005.

And the "Mean Girls" star's estranged dad was arrested again last month for criminal contempt for violating a restraining order, reports People.com .

Meanwhile, in late January "Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham's mother, Debra Danielson, was charged with assaulting her 18-year-old daughter.

According to US Magazine after getting into an argument over raising Abraham's baby daughter Sophia, Danielson allegedly grabbed the teen by the throat and "hit her along the side of her head and hit her in the mouth."
